Global dancefloor mayhem
I first saw Future World Funk at Womad a few years ago and was won over during the course of their two hour set. At first I was unconvinced, the music was all over the place from Deep & Dubby to Brazilian Drum & Bass to Bollywood House. It wasn't until the second hour that I realised ...that was the whole point. By the end of the night I had sweated a gallons, and was left with a huge silly grin on my face. This album is a fine sample of what to expect in their live sets...diverse global tunes...all dance friendly...from the most obscure places but ALL delighting and many forcing you onto your feet for a real good bop.
