Slick, like chocolate-flavoured syrup !!!
I first heard Micatone when they did a rework of Nicola Conte's Arabesque, and wanted to hear more!

Upon recommendation of this site I ordered Is Just Is, and after one listen sat back, relaxed, and just let their sublimely funky lounge-jazz grooves, textured by slick, sexy, vocals, backed-up by a collection of well-balanced beats, flow through me.

The tracks range from smooth grooves to funky numbers that demand limb-based reactions (think: feet).

I put this CD on on a Sunday morning, and for some strange reason, have a great day !!! It just fits...perfectly!!!

sheer class
This is one very smooth, sophisticated, and great sounding album. Superbly crafted, with a perfect balance of quality musicianship, vocal talent, and modern programming. It just signals sheer class from the first listening, and does not wear thin over repeated plays.
If you like nujazz, then treat yourself to this. It has a smokey, oily and slightly disheveled flavour to it, mixed with a very contemporary vibe. Coming from the Sonar Kollectiv stable, you know its going to be good, but this has got to be one of their real jewels.

if you like the nu-soul-jazz sounds of Jazzanova and 4 Hero then you will ABSOLUTELY love this album. the whole album oozes class and is rightly regarded as one of the best albums of 2003 by the main man Giles Peterson. stand out track for me is "Sweet Child".
