Customer Reviews

Not so familiar FUNK4
a collection of the real deal 70's funk . Try the Commodores tracks from their early days - 3 Times a Lady they ain't. Add a couple of doses of funky drumming from the Meters and the hardly disguised Sly Stone and JB's and you have as good a funk compilation as there is. You will almost certainly find something on here you won't be familiar with and you won't be buying this unless you are into Funk so there will be something for you here.

New to the Funk? Well you won't find this the most accessible album, perhaps better to start with something like the Funked! (vols 1 to 3) sets which contain some of the more commercial and familiar. It is a funk bomb though.....
