Customer Reviews

Excellent best of from excellent band5
One thing that strikes you about this album is the amount of first class goth/emo singles that this band has produced. There are at least 10 songs on here which should be rated 5 stars in their own right. This album puts accross Placebo's unique, distinctive and slightly meloncholic sound perfectly and is a must for all of their fans or anyone who has ever liked their singles. Althought there are too many highlights to mention individually highlights include "The bitter end", "Special K" and "Bruise pristine." All the songs are catchy, pop influenced emo and rock songs that will have you singing (and dancing in some cases) along after a few listens. This is a great introduction to a great band and is a great place for anyone new to the band to start off with.

Top Music, Top of the Mountain5
I heard this whole album for the very first time while sitting out for a break from the piste in Switzerland last week. I don't profess to be a 'fan' of either this 'type' of music, or to actually even knowing it was 'Placebo', though the track 'Friend in need' was familiar. LOVED LOVED LOVED the album. Got straight onto the 'net when I got home to find out who the band were, then straight here to Amazon to order a copy. It was fantastic blasting out into the mountains at the top of the Rinerhorn in Davos/Klosters, and I'm looking forward to getting it on my ipod FAST !

Great compilation5
Placebo one of the ,most diverse bands of the 90s and onwards era have done there best to sum themselves up in one album.

From the start the album is up tempo with 36 degrees and moves slickly from one song to the next. although you lose the individuality of songs from the albums you gain a great compilation.

although missing some great tracks eg come home this compilation could be described as one of the best around at the moment.

i purchased this before i saw them at wembley and i hope you enjoy this as much as i did.
