The next best thing to seeing them live!
Machine Head usually win just about every kind of 'best live band' award in metal magazines and being someone who sees them every time they're over here I couldn't agree more. As someone absolutely obsessed with this band it's hard for me to review this live offering objectively, but it is one of the best live music DVD's around, as now it's easier to produce them these days, there are a lot of bad ones.

MH usually have a predictable (but certainly crowd pleasing) live set and this show is no exceptions; all of the classics are there; 'Davidian', 'Ten Ton Hammer', 'Old' etc and the amazing opener 'Imperium'. Included as well are music videos, and a documentary about the recording of 'through the ashes...' in which the band talk about a lot of personal issues and the troubles and triumphs they've faced.

It's all well filmed and sounds brilliant. Even if your not a crazed MH fan, this DVD may convert a few more people to go see the 'best live band in metal' as it says that they're touted as on the sleeve... and they certainly aren't lying.

never seen machine head live but after seeing the dvd i cant wait. this is the complete collection from machine head. a full concert of all there best known songs plus there studio videos as well. behind the scenes documentary. it has it all. go buy it you WONT be dissapointed.

The live footage from Brixton is amazing…… A true MH gig!!!

Especially the videos, so now I don’t have to sit in front of Scuzz for hours on end just waiting!!!

I went to the Manchester show and SO proud to have been in that pit! And Robb Flynn with my (now his) Hawaiian garland on….

The documentary is also really good because fans don’t always realise what it is truly like to be in a band! Sad… Painful.. yet it is history and they would not be the guys they are today without it!

Possibly the best live bands I have ever seen….. captured on film, can it be better, like a gig on ye dvd player!

I could go through this bit by bit… I love every second, because I live for metal, I live for this band! You need to watch this!
