Customer Reviews
Feel-good music - guaranteed!!
I bought this a few months ago based on hearing only a few sound clips and am so glad I did. It lived up to, and surpassed the tasters and never fails to make us smile (AND jump about like loonies!!). FWF have gathered a global mix of funky tunes that are instantly catchy and others that will creep up on you till you love them just as much. A definite winner in my house!
Buy it and smile...
Diverse global dance fever
If there was any justice in the land, Future World Funk would be household names. Russ and Cliffy are a pair of DJ's who travel the world in search of dancefloor dynamite ...then bring it back in their hot little hands to reek mayhem on the rest of the world's dancefloors.
They are truly eclectic in their choices covering everything from Roots Reggae, through Brazilian Baille Funk, to Bollywood Breaks.
This is really infectious stuff designed to put a spring in your step and a grin on your face. Outstanding tracks from this double CD?
From the very first track, you will smile with recognition when you hear Jah Screeche: Walk and Skank, which was the source of the original sample from SL2's 90's hit On a Ragga Tip. Things just get better from there, and without going into too much detail, we touch on South American Pan Pipe & Accordian Funk(!), Sublime Brazilian Drum & Bass, Bally Sagoo...the list goes on. This double CD is an excellent primer if you have never been to a FWF gig. If you have, you know very well, it's an essential purchase. Four and a half stars **** 1/2
