Customer Reviews
Great album, great price
This really is the best of Black Sabbath. If you have not heard of them or are just trying them out because you know they are classed as legends then you cannot go wrong with this compilation.
If you are a Sabbath fan but maybe you have all their recordings on vinyl then go for the box set 1970-1978 instead.
If you are trying out Sabbath because of Ozzy Osbourne and recent found glory then be aware that this material is harding hitting than his solo material, with more guitar rifts and darker lyrics, but it is brilliant.
One of the most classic rock albums.
I cannot stress how good this album is and Blach Sabbath seem to be the route of all metal. I had already heard tracks like Paranoid, War Pigs and Iron Man which were amazing but now I like stuff like Snowblind, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. All the tracks on there I've listened to so far have all been rather good. If you like this then you may like other stuff I've brought. Look at reviews. It has some very old to new tracks before Ozzy Osbourne left to go solo but he was much better in Black Sabbath.
Give them a listen and see what you think but I doubt you will be disappointed with this if you love rock and metal everyone.
Spot on in every way
A really comprehensive collection, which showcases Sabbath at their best.
A great CD if you just want a (fairly hefty) slice of Sabbath but are perhaps just wanting a taster or have not heard a great deal of them before.
Make no mistake , there are some extremely fine songs on this record & when Ozzy & Iommi were on form (as they were for the recordings on here) they were truly superb.
I'm not a fan of Dio but some of the better efforts of that particular incarnation are also on here - quality CD,worth the investment
