Customer Reviews
The smooth sound of Mr Biondi delivers!
If you're looking for a nice jazz sounding CD this offering might do the trick. From the city of Catania, Sicily in Italy comes smooth sounding vocalist Mario Biondi with his album Handful of Soul.
Biondi's voice has influences of soul, latin, and rhythm & blues which is backed up by his jazz quintet.
With notable tracks such as `A Child Runs Free', `Rio De Janeiro Blue', `A Handful Of Soul', `On A Clear Day', `No Trouble On The Mountain', the Bill Withers song `I'm Her Daddy' and the excellent `This Is What You Are'.
Biondi's unique voice results in this album sounding great, with the latin-jazz sound of the band. Definitely recommended.

The New Lou Rawls?
Lou Rawls, has never been equalled of bettered. From, his days with Sam Cooke, to the fantastic Tobacco Road. This guy - from Europe! is the Business, the D.B's. Buy this and chill to the tingle of a fabulous toe curling voice and great arrangements and production. Better still buy two and give one to your best mate.
Fine songs + good vocals+ nice band = fun
This is a well-recorded jazz-album and a great way to make a start with listening to jazz; nice rythm-section, soulful horns, good vocals by Mario. Highly recommended for summer-evenings and long car-drives!
