Customer Reviews
French house at its very best
This has got to be one of the finest albums by defected, who never seem to fail. Solveig has combined some great new house with some classics of the 70s. The unmixed album is great. If you want something away from the typical cheese house and are looking for a combination of french house/vintage disco and even indie, buy it. The style is very different to what you get from most UK DJ's as he is able to use his own taste and is not afraid to use it. It is certainly in the same class/category as Bob Sinlar. You will not regret buying this album.
A poor show from Martin Solveig
Martin Solveig has produced the worst "In The House" compilation only second to Bob Sinclar. The standard of music on across the 3 discs is not the to the usual standards you'd expect from Defected. Far too much rubbish from Martin.
The CD has no "flow" to it and seems to jump about a little, it all sounds the same!
Apart from the odd track, I found myself hitting the skip button all too often.
Avoid this one, get the Joey Negro one instead or the new For The Love Of House one to show Defected's better side!
