Killer loves i am ghost
Killer Likes Candy...WHAT A TRACK!!!!!
it sounds a bit like trivium but with understandable yet high class lyrics, i live the opening riff and the undertones of violin from kerith give it a touch of class. I believe this is the best song on the album and the other songs are excellent as well.
On top of this i met the group at the Kerrang! tour and they were the nicest band i've met! so buy it
Fantastic album!!!
I am a huge, huge fan of this album. Infact, i've had it a couple of months now and it's not left my car stereo or MP3 player!! I first heard of I Am Ghost last year when their EP came out. It only cost a tenner, so i thought i'd give it a go. I've never looked back since. Some of the lyrics are a little...ermm predictable (about vampires), but once you get over that and embrace the album, i guarentee you'll fall as much in love with it as i have.
The songs are amazingly catchy, and they do upbeat as well as they do heartfelt. All in all, a fantastic alum by an excellent band who are destined for great things.
3.5 out of 5
comparisons to AFI are probably justified with i am ghost, but they are more than just a tribute band, they bring a few other formulas to the table as well,to create something very good.
Steven julianos vocals for a start sound nothing like dannys from afi's,in fact they sound more like michael graves who sang on a few misfits albums in their latter years, the songs are punchy, dynamic and memorable and alot of that can be credited to kerith who offers a great range of female vocals as well as violin which adds an operatic feel, the band also can add bleeding through and avenged sevenfold with a hint of atreyu and all of those influences are dependable.
The band sing of gothic and vampiric subjects and songs like people never lie, vampires never really die are excellent cuts, the band offer variety ,intense melody and a sense of freshness to 2006 and the year of 2007 should bring them success.
