Disappointed3
I have to agree with the reviewer "El Burrito" here. I too have been trying to understand "what all the fuss is about". I have been searching for something catchy about this album but am struggling to find it. The first track Northern Swing is a promising number however in my opinion none of the other tracks live up to it. Generally speaking I find that if an album such as 'Turntable Soul Music' has been reviewed twelve times on Amazon, eleven of which have favorable reviews that this is usually a good indicator to whether an album is worth buying or not. However in this case I'm guessing all the favorable reviews came from mates of the band or such like....?

Invest in this5
I bought this Album towards the end of last year. The amount I've played it, you'd think I should be done with it. I'm not. Instead I find myself constantly fishing it out to listen to at home, in the car, to my friends. Everytime its on in company, someone inevitably asks me who it is. Northern Girls is a great track, but I'm happy to let the CD just play, and (almost) never feel the urge to skip forward. If you like Ben Westbeech, Little Dragon, Erykah Badu, Lamb, this is a definite must. Don't be put of if you have never heard them before, the album is instantly likeable -but not unintelligent.
Six months after buying unearthing this treasure, I'm still finding it difficult to to top it despite my insatiable music habit. Basically, put it at the top of your wishlist,

Tip top album5
One of my favourite albums of the year. Fat funky fresh & full of fantastic music & swelling vocals. "Alice" is just a classic if ever there was. Downtempo without getting bland , can't recommend it enough.
