Customer Reviews
Quick, clever, no-nonsense painting from a true and genuine master of the craft.
Despite his heavy schedule, Charlie has managed to produce yet another highly instructional and motivational book dedicated to producing Watercolours in a Weekend - it does exactly what it says on the tin, or book in this case. Practise on Saturday and produce the painting on Sunday. I've been lucky enough to meet this hugely inspirational man and been on many a workshop with him. He is genuinely passionate about art and his love of the craft is obvious, he oozes confidence and that translates so readily and quickly out of his workshops, demonstrations and books to you the student; you cannot fail to be inspired. If you have ever struggled with the nonsense that watercolours are hard and unforgiving then throw those ideas out of the nearest window - don't wait - do it now!!! Then settle back with Charlie's books, pick up the paintbrush and get going. You WILL be amazed at what you produce. If you follow Charlie's advice and guidance you CANNOT fail. Watching this incredible man paint makes you WANT to give it a go, so buy the book and you will not be disappointed. Charlie Evans is, without doubt, THE best painter, instructor, and motivator of his generation. He is totally unique and thank heaven he is, nobody else gets close to this man (in my opinion), who genuinely cares about what he does, his no-nonsense, approachable and gregarious style is infectious and I'm SO glad they broke the mould when they made him.
