Customer Reviews
An excellent kettle
This kettle does genuinely improve the taste of hot drinks, and it removes the “scum” you sometimes get on the surface of tea. Drinks certainly taste a lot “cleaner”. It looks fairly attractive, and boils incredibly quickly. When you switch it on, it stops filtering the water, which is clever, but it’s really best to try to avoid this. That’s because if you pour the hot water out too quickly with the kettle too horizontal when there is (cold) water waiting to be filtered, the cold water can spill out at the same time. Ensuring that there is always water in the kettle avoids having to wait for the water to filter through before you can boil it, and also reduces the chance of there being water waiting to be filtered when you boil the kettle. Provided you follow these guidelines, you will be delighted with this excellent product.
A great fast boiling kettle to replace your Brita Filter Jug
I live in an area that suffers a lot from a chlorine taste in the water. I had bought a Brita filter jug around a year ago and really noticed the difference it made to tea. My existing kettle suddenly decided to revolt and refuse to boil water, at which point I realised I only used the Brita jug to fill the kettle.
I took the plunge and bought the Acclario Jug Kettle. At first it's a bit like the Kripton Factor to set up. The instructions are very clear but you have to pull at the plastic parts far more than you would expect.
However once set up, and you have discovered how to switch the thing on... believe me this will entertain your friends (CLUE: slide the top of the handle up to reveal the "on" switch), it works extremely fast.
Overall, I've found it not only a great kettle, but I've regained the corner of my work surface reserved for the Brita jug filter.
GREAT TASTING TEA
I live in an area where the water is quite hard so I bought the Brita kettle and it has made a huge difference to the taste (and appearance) of my tea and coffee. You really do see the difference that they show on the before and after picture on the box.
You do have to get used to using it. I started off waiting for the water to filter and then boiling it, which did increase the time it took to make a cuppa. Then I just changed the way I did it. I now refill the kettle straight after I have made the tea so that when I next want some the filtered water is already there. The kettle does seem to boil quickly as well.
The Brita Acclario kettle isn't perfect but it has made me a convert. I now also have one of their water filter jugs that sits in my fridge for cold filtered water (means I don't have to spend a fortune on bottled water!!!)
I'd recommend this product.
