This toothbrush is superior to the battery operated one that it replaced. My teeth feel much cleaner, would recommend to everyone

Not a good buy, even at half price
My daughter bought this model for me in October 2006 when it was on offer at half price. I had been using Braun electric toothbrushes for at least ten years. My first was called the Electric Plaque Remover and it had a slide switch. After ten years, the switch did not always work properly but I can't complain about the performance and value for money.

I bought a different cheaper model in April 1999 so that I could use one before bedtime and the other before breakfast. After a few years, the tip broke off but this may have been my own fault because I always used to leave the brush on. Instructions on the recent models tell you to remove and rinse the brush after use, so I always do that now.

At first I was quite pleased with the Precision Clean, so much so that I bought the similar Vitality Pro-White in November 2006. Then I found that the Precision Clean held its charge for only a few days whereas the ProWhite lasted two or three weeks. I sent the Precision Clean to the service agent at Birkenhead and they replaced it. But neither of these models were a patch on my old Plaque Remover for performance and value.

I now have a Professional Care 5000 bought in May 2008 and a Professional Care 6000 bought in December 2008, both at half price. They not only have a much more vigorous action than the Vitality models, they also have a two minute timer and a pulse to help you brush the top, bottom, left and right teeth for 30 seconds each.

It remains to be seen whether these models last as long as my original Plaque Remover but I am confident that they are better value than the Vitality models.
