A really invenitve book - keep the kids quiet for Christmas?
This is an amazing book. It keeps my two oldest children (boisterous boys aged 6 and 5) fascinated for hours. The illustrations are beautifully detailed and unlike most books this is one that even non-readers will enjoy on their own. The idea is to hunt down the different bugs depicted on the page - a bit like Where's Wally with a natural history twist. There are very few books that boys think are cool and I think are worth buying, but this is one of them.
