Great voice and a very good country album
Joe Nichols has one of the best voices in country music. It is smooth with a touch of Merle Haggard and stands out from the crowd. His singing is country all the way. The album takes a few listens to fully appreciate some of the songs but it well worth the time. It is a lovely album. The backing is restrained and complimentary to his voice and the songs. The songs are strong. Highlights include Another Side of You, Real Things, She's a Lady and Lets get Drunk and Fight. However, there is not a poor track on the album. At the same time there does not appear to be the mega single. A strong album. A good listen and recommended to anyone who likes a good album of good music. Recommended.
Added 20.12.07.....I have listened to this CD time and time again. It gets better with each listen. The songs get stronger with each listen. Superb. If I could amend the star rating, I would up it to 5. One of the albums of the year.
