Easy Read5
This book had more information on the RAF 34 squadron than I had ever found in any other book I have read. The detail was very easy to follow and I managed to plot places my father had been, which upto now had been hard to find, the bonus being there was dates next to places/events, and this enabled me to match them with fathers diary from his time in Burma.
This book is also very easy to read, it flows very nicely too. I have read numerous books on the RAF in Burma and some are hard to follow or you do not get the right feel for the places or people concerned, this book was just a fantastic read full of useful information from front to back cover. I would highly recommend this book for detailed information, dates and readability.

An excellent history of the Regiment5
Being ex- RAF regiment myself, I was always keen to learn about my old unit's history. This book tells the story of the Regiment's South East Asia campaign clearly, giving a very readable combination of campaign overview as well as from the airman's view. Crammed with quotes from men who were there, and many photographs and maps, this is an essential read for anyone who wants to know more about the RAF Regiment. It covers the initial setting up of the Regiment depot in Secunderabad, right through the Burma battles, to policing the peace after the surrender and demobilisation.
