Customer Reviews
A superb inspirational guide
I have been buying a number of wildlife books to learn something of the craft before a safari trip later in the year - this is one of the better books out there. A set of superb and inspirational images is combined with easily digestible text. Thoroughly recommended.
Very good book
This is an extremely good book. Plenty of detail, hints, tips and inspiration. Weston has written this in a way that is easy to understand and remember. His experience in the field of wildlife photography can be seen throughout this book. Unlike many books in this area, he provides information on how to improve general wildlife photography, rather than focusing on either digital or film. Instead when something specific to digital or film crops up, he highlights this in a coloured box.
Conclusion - perfect for any budding wildlife photographer.
Great book
This book offers with detail all the tips and hints of wildlife photography. The author starts by giving equipment advice (camera, lenses, mounting heads, tripods, beanbags, flashes, transport cases, ect) and then describes step by step the procedure you have to follow in order to take beautiful wildlife photos.
You will learn the difference of taking pictures of standing animals in comparison with a running cheetah or flying birds, he gives valuable information on Depth of field and how to use it correctly,he points on which part of the animals body to focus, he describes panning and motion blur techniques, how to take back light photos, and various other tiny tips which finally make the difference.
My summary is that you can't go wrong with this book.
Believe me even if you have good knowledge about photography in general you will be still surprised to learn that wildlife photography is a whole different story.
