About the Author
Theodor Seuss Geisel -- better known to millions of his fans as Dr. Seuss -- was born the son of a park superintendent in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1904. After studying at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, and later at Oxford University in England, he became a magazine humorist and cartoonist, and an advertising man. He soon turned his many talents to writing children's books, and his first book -- And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street -- was published in 1937. His greatest claim to fame was the one and only The Cat in the Hat, published in 1957, the first of a successful range of early learning books known as Beginner Books.

Customer Reviews

A new addition5
An excellent new addition to the Dr Seuss family. Combining characters from Seuss classics ie One fish, Two fish and Fox In Socks with short rhyming sentances makes for a fun way of teaching colours. This has become a big hit with my 3yr old.

Excellent first book. My daughter is 16 months and loves this book its always the first one picked from the book shelf.I think its the fact it is a handy size, brightly coloured and has flaps that she can lift. I love it too the rhymes are hilarious. Thoroughly recommend it.

Enjoyable5
My son who has just turned 3 loves this book, and I quite enjoy it too. He likes telling me whats on each page and the rhyming and bright colours make it even more enjoyable.
