Customer Reviews

(Almost) All you need to know4
This is a good book. It is written for the more technically minded computer user; to be used as a consultant, as and when needed - very true to its title. The chapters provide in-depth coverage of the topics, and it is written in clear language without too much computer jargon.

I bought it together with my OEM Vista Ultimate and used it as an installation guide - the instructions are spot-on. There are, however, some omissions. For example, I miss Advanced Internet Explorer settings explained in this book, which I would have thought are included here for admins since they are in none of the more "basic" books. Also, I would have wished to read about why Vista partitions are primary by default, not just that they are.

It's things like these that make me wonder if those authors are restricted to a certain amount of pages, maybe?

Hence only 4 stars, but it would have been 4.5 if this was possible.
