Every parent wants to help their child fulfil their true potential but how can this best be achieved? In this tie-in book to the new, ground-breaking series for Channel Five, psychologist Bernadette Tynan shows parents how they can identify and unlock their child's individual talents and skills so that they can flourish and gain confidence as well as good results.Bernadette's argument is that every child is talented - all we need to do for them to shine is find out what that talent is and help them develop it. There would have been no point in trying to encourage the young David Beckham to play the violin when his true talent lay in kicking a ball. Using a variety of techniques that she has made her own, Bernadette has worked with a large number of children and schools around the world to help both parents and children find their full potential. Now these techniques will be brought to a wider audience at a time when parents are increasingly confused about how to choose the right school for their child.

Customer Reviews
If you've got kids or grandchildren this is the book for you.
I wish I'd read this book when my kids were younger, perhaps they'd all be astrophysicists by now!
shallow
I am trying to find good books with ideas how to help my child find what he is best in and how I can best support him on his way.
When I saw this book I was a little bit suspicious, because of the title - too imposing. Then I read the "Product Description" and "About the Author" and that sounded interesting and promising. So I bought the book.
What a disappointment! I was expecting that the author will get deeper in to the subject. More theory + more stories from her work would have been useful. But the book is too shallow. Parents that are thinking over their child development already know most of the things. So if you are one of them, just try another book.
I give 2 stars: because of the book design, it could be helpful for some parents and there are still some interesting things in it.
