Buddhist chants
If you buy one buddhist chant / meditation / peace cd in your life, make it this one. I bought this in 1998 when I lived in Cape Town and no other cd has came close. It is beautiful and uplifting and just the most wonderful cd.
not for the car
This cd is excellent and is the most restful sound I have ever heard. It is one of the few pieces of music I can have on while I read, as it falls effortlessly into the background to form a a peaceful back-drop.
Do not play in the car though as it is so restful you could easily be distracted.
Negative reviews for negative people!
Forget pan pipes and whale song, if you are looking to 'look within yourself' then this is most likely ideal. I thought that track 1 was sublime but it really is a question of how you accept it. I can only presume that the negative reviews for this CD came from people who expected instant Karma or don't even know what it's about. I will admit that some chants can be pretty dire (Tibetan ones spring to mind) but with this one you can just drift into meditation, it's up to you!!
