When Michelle Dewberry entered for The Apprentice, she was already earning a six-figure salary. However, she seized the chance to learn from one of Britain's most successful and charismatic businessmen, Sir Alan Sugar. The series earned huge ratings, but what few viewers understood was the struggles Michelle had undergone to get that far. Breaking free from a violent and abusive father, she had led her family to safety, while trying to come to terms with her grief at her sister's death. She suffered from bulimia and depression, but defeated her own personal demons to establish herself as a businesswoman with a refreshingly positive outlook. Catapulted into the public eye, Michelle had to overcome more private grief when she miscarried her baby. Yet despite all these difficulties she remains defiantly optimistic. This book will give inspiration to all who read it. Michelle Dewberry could have seen herself as a victim, but she prefers to live life by the maxim 'If you believe in yourself, anything is possible' and knows that only she is responsible for achieving her ultimate goals. Her book reveals the painful and harrowing difficulties she had to face, and provides a clear insight into how she has succeeded, not just in winning the intense competition of The Apprentice but in so many other aspects of her life. Her message will resonate to all those who hope for a better life.

Customer Reviews
A great read
I have read this book by chance but turned out to be a great read.
Michelle's book is both a fairy tale and the recollection of a great woman's life.
She does not let herself put down by a difficult start and pushes hard to emerge from the crowd.
The story ends with a series of invaluable business tips. But I feel it's not the end of Michelle's story.
excellent and interesting insight to a legend of our time.
I love autobiographies and this is the best I have read by far. Michelle comes across as really down to earth. Unlike some celebrity autobiographies, she admits her mistakes and shares the lessons she has then gone on to learn from then. She is brave enough to share her most personal of experiences with the reader and through that you feel as though your going through that with her. Her final chapter on how to put her lessons into practice are really helpful and the whole books message is uplifting and motivating. In spite of all Michelle has obviously gone through, to read the story with her and see her come out a better and stronger person for it, can only be an inspiration to us all. Buy this book today and learn from it.
This book can change your life!
I am a school leaver and long admired Michelle's character throughout The Apprentice. She was an inspiration to many long before winning the show and this book just affirms that. Her forward thinking, do or die attitude pushed me to achieving my all through my exams and my grades, I half owe to her. Her book made me focus on what I want out of my life and how to get there. She doesn't just speak of her business head in the book but her personal life too which is why everyone can relate to her in one way or another. Whatever you're going through, she is the star guiding you through.
This book should be in everyone's collection. She can change your life, If you let her.
