Average customer review:Product Description
Frommer’s Vietnam 2e is an amazingly detailed guide that takes the reader through the country with practical information, late–breaking bargains, cultural insights, user–friendly maps, etiquette tips, a language glossary, advice for business travelers, and practical advice on planning the trip and getting around. This guide explores everything from the thriving expat nightlife in Ho Chi Minh City (once called Saigon) to a journey by boat into the Mekong Delta, past rice paddies and riverside pagodas. Unlike any of our leading competitors––including Lonely Planet and Rough Guide––Frommer’s Vietnam features excursions to Cambodia, including comprehensive coverage of Phnom Penh, Siem Riep, and the popular temples of Angkor Wat.

Customer Reviews
Best guide book on the market for Vietnam
Wow thank goodness I bought a copy of Frommers guide. Slightly aprehensive on ordereing these fears were dissipated quicky. It is intelligently written, informative and just what a traveller needs. It is not a glossy light-weight ramble through the obvious hotel and area choices: it is thorough, interesting and essential to all traveller going to Vietnam. Don;t waste your money on any other guide - I have also bough DK Guide to Vietnam and Insight guide. Frommers wins hands down!
Looks good
Well I bought this on the advice of other reviews - of the lonely planet and rough guides. This is such a comprehensive and compassionatley written guide. I'm planning a trip and haven't gone yet, but now feel much more confident in organising my itinerary. Along with great scene setting passages with colourful descriptions there are lots of compact fact cruching sections. Although written primarily from a US standpoint all info is given for european travellers too.
This is all text. No pretty pictures, but lets face it, all you need to do when you want to see a picture is type a place name in to google and hit go! They haven't wasted a page.
