Keep 'em coming boys4
I've been a fan of Tesla since I heard "Modern Day Cowboy" from the Mecahnical Resonance album in the late 80's. Incorrectly pigeon holed as a "hair band", they were out of step with the dominant scenes (hair and thrash) but onto something with long lasting appeal. The follow up "The Great Radio Controversey" was also a belter. As the 90's dawned, Tesla's star didn't wain, in fact with the live "5 Man Acoustical Jam", they became even more popular, although, I hated the album. 1991's "Psychotic Supper" was a good solid album. Even with grunge starting to take hold, Tesla seemed to be winning. For a while, anyway. Their 4th studio album "Bust A Nut" was a complete disaster and for the first time, Tesla were at odds with the zeitgeist and seemed to disappear off the face of the planet. I still held a soft spot for them though. Their 2004 album "Into The Now" was an amazing, surprising return and seemed to get them into gear for picking up where they left off. I was lucky enough to see them on tour last year and they haven't lost it. On this year's tour, (twice in 9 months after a 20 year break from the UK good work fellas!) they showcased songs from this new release. Live is never the best way to introduce new songs, there's no re-wind but I liked what I heard. I've lived with this album and...it's a grower. On first listen it's "just a Tesla album", the usual mix of rockers and ballads, with the ever soulful and eternal happy guy Jeff Keith's vocals over the top. After a few listens, what seemed to be a loss of momentum in the middle is actually a well crafted collection of songs. If you're a long time Tesla fan, this is no "Bust A Nut" and is a welcome addition to the back catalogue. If this is your first time Tesla album, I'd recommend "Mechanical" "Radio" or "Into The Now" first and then come back to this. Either way this is quality hard rock by a timeless band.

Forever More a Fan5
I have been a Tesla fan since their first album so will admit some bias from the beginning. However I can't remember when I last so taken by an album on the very first play. Tesla really have gone from strength to strength over the years. If you like the previous album 'Into The Now' you will probably like this one too. The lyrics are strong and the music solid and varied as Tesla always are. This album is becoming a firm favourite in my collection.

just like their name sake4
Tesla are a quality, hard and heavy rock band who keep on producing quality records (except 'Bust a Nut'). This is no exception. Just like their name sake they remain soooo underrated. Why they haven't sold more records is a complete mystery.

For those fans who know what this band do, buy this album now! When they rock its full on, when they slow it down its spot on. Each song has the Tesla stamp on it and boy does it leave its mark on you! That's probably down to Jeff Keith's vocals, as gritty and emotional as ever.

Stand out tracks are 'Forever More', 'I Wanna Live', 'Fallin Apart', 'Breakin Free'. The other tracks are bloody good too! I'm so glad these guys continue to make new records with the promise of more to come.
