Editorial Reviews

CD Description
The heavy rock legends Thunder return with their ninth full-length record, 'Bang', a bruising collection of anthems andbarnburners alike. Songs such as 'On The Radio' show that they have lost none of their uncompromising attitude, rallying against their relative lack of exposure compared to their peers, while 'Carol Ann' attempts to coherently recount the events of a drunken escapade with the dubious benefit of hindsight. What remains of Thunder is their foolhardiness and determination and, even as they move towards their third decade they have their gained the respect of the hard rock community.

My fave band just keep on getting better!4
Well, this is a great album. Top class performance from the boys. Just to start i will say that the sticker for strong launguage on the front is deceiving. There are 2 swearwords on the whole album, so it's not major. It is a shame on that note that there was no title track because there could have been some fun in there! Luke is totally justified in writing a song showing his frustration as to why they have never been on the radio! Any way, on to the songs!
The Best on the album:
2.Stormwater
3.Carol Anne
5.Candy Man
6.Have Mercy
7.Watching Over You
8.Miracle Man
10.Love Sucks
12.Honey
The good but have something missing tracks:
1.On The Radio
4.Retribution
9.Turn Left At Calafornia
The Ones That Should Have Been Left Off But Are Interesting:
11.One Bullet
Seriously they are real quality songs. Its just with one bullet it's like my darkest hour from RJ'S Tombstone but it just isnt as good. My personal Favourates are Stormwater, Carol Anne and Candy Man. Danny's voice and Lukes guitar really do set the album alight, along with Bens cool guitar and keyboards, Harry's strong drumming and Chris' funky bass lines. Tara Macdonald's backing vocals on Carol Anne really tie in with the song! All in all Thunder fans must buy this, it is ESSENTIAL!!! I can't wait to see them in November and hear the great tunes from this album live. Bang! There will be a storm when you hear this!!!

Bang! On Form!5
Bang! is another album packed with the usual ingrediants of what makes thunder tick tracks like "On the Radio" is a riff roaring pleasure reminiscent of the track "Dirty Love" coupled with the ageless vocals of Daniel Bowes whos at his best on the saucy tongue in cheek lyrics of "Have Mercy" which is amusing and catchy at the same time.

Apart from Tesla who have released another good album Thunder seems to be one of the few like the Wildhearts to continue flying the flag for Rock.

Its good that their split was temporarily short lived.

Brilliant!!!!!!!5
Bought this in the shop today. Always been a Thunder fan and have every album, and I am not dissappointed here. Strong vocals, exellent guitaring and a good alternative take on rock sends this new Thunder album to my album of this year. Turn Left at California and On the Radio are my favs. cant wait to see them in november :)
