Editorial Reviews
CD Description
Widely tipped debut from LA's 'Health', its blowing the whole noise genre off its perch; as if the whole noise genre suddenly immersed into a pop world. Jarring noise melded with synth pop blasts, taking cues from Wolf Eyes, Yellow Swans, Crystal Castles, Liars and creating a whole distinctive brew of their own, shows and split singles with Crystal Castles last year got the party started in the UK, 2008 is when they slay all comers. Highly recommended.

Health & Health/Disco are not the same
Beware punters! Amazon has linked the reviews of Health & Health/Disco. These are two completely differently albums!! Health is pure noise (I didn't like it - too raw for me). Health/Disco are remixes of the noise into rather fabulous dance, which is much more up my street for what it's worth. So be careful. Health = noise; Health/Disco = dance.

Before I begin this band is (or likes to be labeled)a dance band. (There's a great remix of Crimewave by Crystal Castles out there!).
Maybe not a new formula but HEALTH sound like Sonic Youth "Daydream" era dynamics, with a My bloody valentine "warmth" feel (more "isn't anything") and the unpredictable elements of Trumans Water but with tribal drumming. Vocals are treated as an instrument (again, more like MBV but more loveless sounding) so sing along if yer can. So if you like any of the bands mentioned or similar this a great band to invest in.
you need this in your life.
this album is truly beautiful, totally agree with the other reviewer.
the drums are beautiful, heavy, tribal, really get you going but dont overpower any of the tracks.
all the instruments collide together to generate a trippy kinda soundtrack.
