Customer Reviews
Biggest dissapointment to date
This game lasted approximately ten minutes before I packed it and sent it back. It is the most appalling golf game to date. The graphics are a shame (to wii standards, and by this I mean compared to other wii games, not PS3 or PC games) and the playability is poor. It is complex from the very beginning when the menu options are confusing, and I did not understand the instructions on how to play as the instructions are confusing. To top it up, the actual calibration of the shots are delayed and inaccurate. So... why was this game made if nothing's actually good about it?
Do not waste your money, I suggest you try this game before buying it.
Just a great game.
It really is and there haven't been many yet on the Wii. Yes the controls are hard to get used to, (just ask my dad), but once you do it will become a really fun game to play, which with the tour mode will last you hours.
More of the same
Yeah, I'm a sucker. I've bought and played them all: Tiger Woods 2004, 2005, 06, 07 and now 08. I should get a trophy for that alone. But this year's edition is no different, no better, no worse, than in previous years. The EA design team spent a day updating the GUI for this year, but the underlying engine is exactly the same. Phooey, I expected more from EA.
Sure, there are some new courses, and there is a new section on the FedEx Cup, but it only replaces previous years' segments on building a team (yuck) and going back in time to play historical players of note.
Oh, and the graphics are really a disappointment. Shame on you, EA, you are capable of much better. Apparently, as long as there are suckers like me around, you don't have to expend much effort on updating each annual edition.
