Dont cry because its gone - smile cos it happened!
TLC. Tboz. Lefteye. Chilli. These three girls have been one of the most influencial, original and acclaimed acts of the past decade - Now and Forever effortlessly illustrates why! This collection of their Greatest Hits is an irresistable package of hip hop, rnb and pop. Classic anthems like Waterfalls, No Scrubs and Aint 2 Proud 2 Beg are all present as are two new fantastic tracks: Come Get Some and Whoop De Woo (in my opinion one of their most distinguished songs!). This journey through 10 years of TLC is an emotional affair because it is their last release - and rightly so. When Lisa 'Lefteye' Lopes passed in April last year, TLC died with her. How could they possibly go on without her? They cant. Like Tboz says on the DVD accompanying this disk, they're going to go out on top "like Michael Jordon!" But hay - dont cry because its gone, smile because it happened!!!!

TLC - The greatest RnB trio of all time
TLC seem to have been forgotton by the younger members of our generation. People don't seem to realise that without these origonal, trendsetting innovators there would be no destiny's child, no RnB girl acts - nothing. They brought sex, style and important messages to the industry and have inspired so many. Every one knows the reason for TLC's coming to an end and it is so sad that in the 11 years that they've been around, they only produced 4 albums. Thank God, though that they came out with CRAZYSEXYCOOL - that album inspired almost every female act or singer that's out in the charts today as well as inspiring and collecting millions of fans all over the world. That album is the best selling RNB album of all time and has been in the record books since it was released in 1994 and will never be forgotton about. This is a CD of their greatest efforts, however I still recomend CSC to ANY music fan, not just RnB. Highlights of now and forever include what about ur friends, creep, red light special, waterfalls, scrubs, silly ho and good at being bad. I look forward to hearing their new stuff and hope they include this DVD of videos and live material that every one seems to be talking about. I also hope Chilli goes solo soon - she is so fine and has an amazing voice and her and Usher r so gettin married. TLC we love u!!!

This compilation really does bring up mixed feelings. Afterall TLC (arguably) wouldn't be in this position if Left Eye hadn't have died. Yet the music is of course incredible. Still there are new songs here-or maybe here depending on what copy u buy. And yet this brings up another question of whether they're splitting up. Still pushing these emotions aside it's hard to criticise such as lively, sassy, open and ridicously sexy group (the previous reviewer is correct-Chilli is gorgeous) and the music perfectly complemented this. Not only were they incredibly funky, they could also be touching and emotional. All this achieved by a girl group!! Exactly; few even get the music right let alone anything else-TLC did it and more. I would give it 5 stars but I didn't because (a)the new songs just continue the debate, r they aren't they splitting, should they etc? and (b) this isn't the absolutely best selection particularly late on e.g no Dear Lie or Good Love? Still perhaps I'm letting the sadness get to me cos to be honest I wished this compilation was not being released.
