Customer Reviews
Dull, but solid as a rock.
They don't look the best, but if you want solid, fast and reliable perfomance from a hard drive you leave beneath the desk while you get on with your life, these are the ones.
I've tried a whole bunch of hard drives. They have been sexier looking, but have all failed.
These are work horses, not works of art.
Mac Users
Backing up both Tiger and Leopard on a Mac, using separate bootable partitions proved somewhat tricky with this drive, but I got there in the end after much forum scrutinizing and cable swapping.

Quadra d2 Hard Disk
I bought this because I needed back-up facilities for both Mac and PC. It does the job and I liked the ability to choose between USB and Firewire connections. Maybe the eSATA provision will be useful in future. The instructions on setting up for dual PC/Mac function were not as clear as I would have liked- to many options without sufficient guidance. Overall satisfied.
