value4
These boots are value for money. Comfortable and more durable than Karrimore products. Not completely waterproof but ok for a 2 hour dog walk - ware 2 pairs of good socks in very wet conditions. If your a serious hiker spend more but these boots are good.

HIKING BOOTS5
I bought these mostly based on the fantastic offer price and because my old hiking boots are on their last legs. I've walked 25 miles in them straight out of the box in the last two days, in some very difficult conditions.

They are extremely comfortable, the only problem I've had with them is that they rub a little on the toes of my right foot but I think I can fix that with judicious use of a broom handle. I bought a good pair of walking socks and they were very much improved as a result.

The boots have improved my sure-footedness on difficult and uneven terrain and they are waterproof. When it rained very heavily the water would run down my legs into the tops of the boots however, but this would be fixed with wearing trousers rather than shorts of course.

All said, I cannot recommend these boots enough, extremely well-made, comfortable and durable, and for the price, you really can't go wrong. I plan to walk the Pennine Way in them in August, and I've no qualms based on my initial impressions.

Excellent value5
I used these boots for low level walking during a winter break in Austria. They stood up well to snow, ice, and slush and kept my feet dry and warm every time. I was a little aprehensive about buying footware by mail order but the fit is fine. Obviously, they're not top-of-the-range hiking boots but are very comfortable and after a week in the alps followed by the current conditions back home, they are certainly more than fit for the purpose intended. At £[] they're also great value.
