Viking folding bike review
I bought this bike a few weeks ago and it arrived quickly afterwards. It looked pretty complicated to set up and then figure out how to fold and unfold it. The instructions were not easy to follow or understand. Eventually we figured it out. Initially I thought I would never get the hang of folding it... it seemed too heavy and needed too much 'brute strength' to do it!However, I forced myself to reserve judgment until I had practiced folding it 10 times. By this time I was pretty proficient at it and could manage to unfold/fold it in less than a minute.
I've been using it to get to work from the park and ride for the last 2 weeks. Its been an absolute Godsend. Yes, its heavy (16kg) but if you only have to take it out or put into your boot then thats fine. Its not designed to be carried. The bolts that hold it together and used for the folding bit were quite stiff to begin with but again that's become better with use. It feels sturdy and reliable to ride and for me goes fast enough. The gears, of course, help with any hills or slopes.
So overall I would recommend this bike... its good value for money and does what it says on the box. Just be patient at the start and give yourself time to practice the folding part.
