Brilliant!
I bought this for my son for his 11th birthday. He already had a DS lite but wanted to upgrade so I said if he could sell his DS Lite then I would get him the new DSi. He sold the Lite on eBay!! We have had so much fun with the camera and "facewarp" facility. Before buying the DSi I wasn't convinced that it was such a good buy as the only difference between the DSlite and the DSi was the camera but would now fully recommend the DSi just for the laughs we have had. My older son (aged 14) has had enormous fun with the voice recorder because he does impersonations of people and then plays them back - you can speed it up or slow it down and it is very, very funny. Go on buy one!!
The colour is awesome too!
Metallic Blue DSi
The first thing I noticed on purchasing this was the different boxes that come up when you first switch on. Our first Dsi was bought on launch date and it's boxes showed (1) system settings (2) game (3) camera (4) sound (5) Dsi shop (6) download play (7) PictoChat - that was all you got and I went to a free wifi spot to update for the web. On the Metallic Blue one purchased a couple of weeks ago there are the above 7 boxes but then there are: (8) Dsi browser (9) Flipnote Studio and you can start using them straight away. Other than that they are the same - the metallic blue is stunning.
Worth the extra
Kids all have lites and they finally convinced me to join in so I purchased a DSi - not realising it wasn'tt more or less the same, We all agree worth the extra, only problem is getting it off them as they now expect me to swap for theirs.
