Safe and Secure but also Heavy
This isofix car seat is not difficult to fit once you get the hang of it and the leg support is at the right length. Its nicely padded and our baby seems very comfortable. It is quite high so Baby can easily see out of the windows and the reclining positions mean she can have a comfortable nap on long car rides.
The only real drawback is the weight. You will definitely need a helper to babysit if you need to fit it before use as it is very much a two handed job trying to manouvre the seat and support leg into the vehicle without scratching the paintwork.
If you intend to leave the seat in the car then this is the chair for you (although it may leave a dent in your car seat), and when choosing a seat I always go for safety above convenience and I have no doubt that my Baby is very safe in this chair.
Too big for most vehicles
I have had this seat for about three months now - firstly to fit into a Jaguar saloon - it was tight fit but as we were changing the vehicles we weren't too concerned and wanted the best seat safety wise.
We now have a Range Rover and whilst it was an ok fit for a couple months my 21 month old daughters feet are already jammed against the seat in front! There is no way this will last until she is four! We would have been much better off getting a cheaper seat without the big bulky isofix attachment. Be warned!
In terms of the chair itself - it is good quality but the harness clip drives me mad. I have snagged several of my daughters jumpers in it as it has sharp claws and also her shoulders slip out of it no matter how tight I pull it.
Ladies beware very heavy
I bought this seat as the reviews I saw were good. Also the seat is one of the safest you can get. If you are leaving this seat in one car then it is good. However if like me you have Grandparents that like to take the baby for the odd night then be warned it is very heavy to carry and I am pretty strong as I go to the gym. The seat is so difficult to install as it takes a fight to get the isofix arms to click in place. I now leave it to my husband to save me losing my temper with it. Needless to say we have bought a cheaper seat for other cars and the Maxicozi does not move from my car.
