PSP Giga Pack4
This is an excellent piece of gaming equipment, i got the psp giga pack as a gift and it was one of the best.

The battery doesn't last too long and the screen is really delicate other than that it's fantastic!

The head phones provided aren't that great so it's better to use your own.

But overall i was very impressed with its quality.

almost great...3
This is great, but why can't the giga-pack be purchased without games? I've been waiting to buy this since it was announced, but I've no idea why Amazon have chosen to add such an amazing collection of sucky games to the giga-pack. Give me Wipeout Pure and Liberty City Stories, or nothing at all.

Great but a little deceptive.5
This is one hell of a machine. I got the giga pack from my birthday as I fancied the idea of a massive amount of memory and the USB cable to make it a proper mutimedia device, with music game demos and videos. However be warned if you have a wireless network at home you don't need the USB cable for downloads from the PSP website, as the PSP can download them straight to its memory stick, doing away with the need to put them through the computer. This is a bit minor as most people havent got a wireless network but I do so heads up. I am still amazed by the graphics and game quality on the PSP. It is more than just a portable PS2, especially with the giga memory stick, with all the media stuff.
On to the big debate: PSP or DS? Although I think the Ds is a joke, I'll try to be as unbiased as possible. A lot of people think the Psp is just a ds minus the touchscreen, myself included, but its not. It is capable of HUGE 3D environments with good graphics, while the DS is better at 2D games with supercrisp graphics. The DS's touchscreen is really smart, and although I had no idea what use a touchscreen was in a handheld, there are lots of wonderfully innovative games showing that. Having two screens is good in itself, as it gives you two views. But i'm afraid the ds is not so great. It's nowhere near as nice looking as the PSP, even the Lite. A PSP disc has room for proper dialogue, a good story, and a soundtrack of real music (by which i mean stuff you can buy) while a DS card just doesn't. The DS is more kid friendly, but games like Loco Roco and Katamari on PSP are too. I'm a fan of racing games, and a touchscreen is little use in a racer, so the PSPs better graphics and processing will pay off. You need to think of what games you like, and which console they will be better on, before you decide.
