In a nutshell:
Her name’s Dark, Jo Dark. And this is the story of how England’s female super agent became who she is, from humble beginnings as gun-for-hire to premier league spy. When a straightforward corporate snatch mission leads to a global conspiracy, Joanna Dark and her father get sucked into a world conflict invisible to the public setting Jo on her path to becoming a Perfect Agent.

The lowdown:
Yes, you’ll get to shoot a lot of bad guys with weapons ranging from good old sniper rifles to silenced weapons to the RCP-90, nostalgic automatic weapon of choice for fans of Nintendo 64 classic Goldeneye, also from British developer Rare. Although the graphics aren’t looking as impressive as some other Xbox 360 launch titles, you have to try it to appreciate its subtlety – Perfect Dark feels great to play.

Most exciting moment:
Co-operative modes are becoming increasingly commonplace, but Perfect Dark takes things to the next level by introducing a new character and often wholly separate paths through the game’s intricately constructed maps.

Since you ask:
After creating masterpieces from Goldeneye to platform game legend Banjo Kazooie in partnership with Nintendo, developer Rare was snapped up by Microsoft to work exclusively on Xbox.

The bottom line:
Shaping up to be the shining star of Xbox 360’s launch line-up.
Nick Gillett

Not impressed with the line: "Excuse me, I think I dropped something! My jaw!! (She was a computer character and couldn't understand) The aliens abandoned genocide. They were terrified of Joanna's magic torch
X-ray vision failed to live up to adolescent fantasies The infinitely more saucy "Ready Brek" vision

    A Good Start5
Right. I was expecting great things of the 360, and this doesnt disappoint. All the people criticising the console have fair points i think. The game certainly isnt as much of a revolution as we would have liked, and nowhere near as impressive as the N64 version. It has graphical slowdown, which i didn't expect from the 360, seen as the gamecube could handle such a beautiful game as metroid prime and that console wasn't even as powerful as the original xbox. The feel of the game could be a little too 'arcadey' for some, and it does remind me of timesplitters.

But. And this is a large but (no pun intended). This is a LAUNCH game. People haven't even known about the console for a year, and rare must have pushed the development of this game a lot. The xbox 360 has great things on the way, and many games to come will use the 360's power much more efficiently with more development time for the games. And anyway, i like timesplitters! The timesplitters series was great, and who cares if Perfect Dark feels like them. The only gripes that i cannot get around are:
#1 the fact that even on the easiest difficulty you can empty a whole clip of 18 bullets into a stupid grunt enemy, not even a bigger grunt with a better weapon, but the lowest of the low, and they still don't fall to the floor, but keep on shooting at you.
#2 The difficulty isnt constant. You would expect that the difficulty would remain true throughout the levels, maybe becoming slightly harder towards the end of the game. But it isnt. Some of the later levels are easier than the earlier levels on the same difficulty level. I have done the final boss on Perfect Agent setting, but struggled with either the 10th or 11th level on Secret Agent.

Disregarding these minor bad points, I have to say that the game is excellent. The Xbox Live features are great and will improve as more people manage to get their hands on a 360 console, and even with a wireless xbox live connection the game hardly ever lags, even with a full 32 player game. Co-op is fantastic, and I love the fact that you can invite friends or even randoms to play co-op with you. Overall i would probably give the game 9/10, but seen as there are only 5 options here i was generous and upped it to a 5 star game. Easily one of the best launch games and probably an xbox live favourite for a good while yet.

    almost as good as halo!5
Perfect Dark Zero is an immense FPS with amazing graphics and a huge arsenal of weapons in multiplayer. Single player is immense although some missions are a little irritating. One reason that single player is irritating is the fact that if you complete the extra missions then die you're happy to see that you're not to far back but the you look at your d-pal and you find out that the extra missions are not complete anymore. But thats not too bad because you probably won't be killed that often. The story is good and easy to follow with a briefing at the start of each mission. You can also try the missions on co-op with your friend at you're house or on xbox live.

Multi-player is absolutely amazing especially on xbox live. You can have a match on deathmatch or a dark-ops game. Deathmatch being you're normal deathmatch, team-deathmatch, capture the flag and you're other basics, good for some original gaming. But dark-ops is different as well as different, amazing. There are settings like Infection which is my favourite. In infections say there are 10 people around 3 would be infected the others obviously non-infected. The infected have to kill non-infected people, if succeeding the one they killed would then become infected. There are 3 other dark-ops but i'll let you try those out. The great thing about dark-ops games is that at the beginning of each round/match you can purchase your own weapons to fight. Killing and winning will get you more cash. But if you're infected in infection you will not get to buy weapons you will just get a falcon you're only chance being a headshot or ambush someone with lots of infected. Non-infected will however get to buy weapons. Another great thing is guest privileges on live. You can play with a friend, mabey 2 or mabey 4? in you're house against people on live.

The graphics are superb, ok so everything looks shiny but that makes the graphics look great, don't know how it just does. However when you die you're character will explode into little squares (virtual reality), this honestly looks pretty poor but thats just picky, graphics are superb.

The extra disc is not that bad but not great. There should be more downloads like better gamer pics and stuff. But the disc still has some gamer pics and a theme for you're xbox 360 dashboard.

Overall the gameplay is superb, the graphics are superb the multiplayer astonishing. So if your thinking about buying it stop thinking and do it.

    Not a Halo but close4
Good game. I love the multiplayer. Bots are always fun and Xbox live is always something to do.

The single player is pretty average. Standard Story line. If you play it in coop though its very exciting. As long as your partner is NOT one of them serious types.

I recommend it greatly for a starting game to the next generation console.
