Neat, tight-fitting but stylish
Let's be fair - the Acer ships with a dust sleeve, not a shock-absorbing or classy-looking carry case. This one is VERY tight fitting when closed on the 160Gb model, even with just the 2-3 hour battery fitted. It will stand (stylishly) open with the 5hr or the 7-9 hour battery pack fitted, but will not close on them. As the photos show, the case attaches to the screen/lid as well as the base, so does not flap loose when the Netbook is open, and the lower 'strap' partially covers the touch pad.

It is still very usable, though. I carry my netbook with the 3hr battery, charged and ready for taking quick notes, and when settling in for a long session, unspring the screen/lid from the top of the case, change to the larger battery (carried fully charged) and use it stood open with the case fully attached again. When I want to close it, there is the hassle of having to switch batteries back, hence the 4-star rating.

If you are anti-skins/leather, you'll want a different product.
The leather looks like it will absorb casual knocks and bumps.
It gives a professional appearance to the netbook, whether open or closed; the need to open up to change battery for a longer session is the only thing that would detract from that look. Again, if you need a case to close with the larger batteries fitted, you'll need to try elsewhere.

The cover you need...
This neat cover is the one that Acer should really have supplied in the box. The nice thing about the Aspire One is how good it looks, and putting it in the supplied sleeve doesn't improve it....but the DuraGadget cover does. The lid of the case attaches to the laptop screen neatly so you can open the machine with it on and it doesn't flap about. All the required ports are accessible, and I'm typing this review now with the cover on. Top marks and a good price.

Stylish cover for the Acer One Aspire
The Duragadget leather carry case fits well, looks good and protects your precious Acer Aspire One - just what you need. As mentioned in other reviews this particular design has the edge on the some others as it's got elastic loops to hold the top cover onto the screen so it doesn't flap about. It also turned up the day after I ordered it, so top marks for the service.
