Zoom too noisy
There was no previous review for this video camera, but as the cheaper models seemed to have got quite good reviews and it looks good I thought this would be a safe bet! Unfortunately, although there are some very good features including the bundled software the biggest problem was the noise from the optical zoom. The motor used to move the lens is so loud it is picked up by the microphone, it is so evident on playback that you can't use the zoom function! The auto focus seems slow to respond and not always accurate, so overall I can't recommend this particular model.

Fairly good product
Was above my expectations considering it was fairly cheap, good quality image, in both photo and video, no pixelation with quick movement of the camera whilst filming. Only two problems that seem worth mentioning: The LED lights on the front for filming barely do anything, in semi-dark lighting the camera fails to pick up anything more than a meter away, and even closer than that the picture is dull and hard to see. Also, the zoom makes quite a noise, the motor whirs and is picked up whilst recording, which can be quite annoying as you can clearly hear it in the playback, but with only 3 times zoom you won't miss out on much by not using the zoom a lot. For the price it is, I would recommend this camera, but if you want to spend more, I would certainly go for others
