Customer Reviews
It's great and my son loves it
I was a bit spectical about buying a door bouncer but took the plunge and we think it's great. Our son (currently 5 1/2 months old) absolutely loves it and merrily bounces away, 'chatting' to himself for a good 10 minutes at a go which gives me valuable time to sterilise bottles and a few quick chores done. Also, it amuses him whilst I am preparing his milk/food - which is invaluable when he's getting impatient. I found it easy to assemble and it works great. Yes, it can be a little tricky at first to put your baby into/out of it - but after a couple of times, it's easy and it's just a case of getting a hang of it. A few words of caution though, re any door bouncer - make sure that you have big doorway to put it in (ideally an arch between two rooms - we have the kitchen/dining room) as I have heard of babies hurting themselves by bouncing into the doorway edges and knocking themselves. Also, a baby should only apparently be in a bouncer for 10-15 minutes at a time - and then only once in the AM and once in the PM - as otherwise it can be too much strain on the legs/hips.
Great bouncer with good support
I put my baby in this bouncer as soon as he was able to support his head (about 14 weeks) and he loved from the start. It offers excellent support and he just chuckles away when he is it in. It's a little tricky to get baby in at first, but you soon get it down to a fine art, by balancing baby on your knee while you put your arms round to secure the velcro & clip. Highly recommended.
Really tricky to use
I was given this by my sister and have found it to be a good idea but really difficult to get my babies in and out. I haven't found a way of putting them in it when it is fully assembled as they bash their heads on the top so i put them in the sling and then attempt to attach the sling on to the bouncy bit (technical term!). It's really hard to do and feels very clumsy, and getting it off again is even harder as you have to take the weight of the baby while trying to slide the strap out of the clip. I think it would be much better if there were carabina style clips. The straps also seem far too close to the babies' faces. Really don't like it!
