Manufacturer's Description

The Doidy Cup from Bickiepegs is designed to teach your child to drink from the rim of a cup rather than a spout or teated bottle. The special slanted design makes it easy for little ones to sip rather than pour, as they can see what they're drinking without tilting their head too much. This encourages a natural drinking action as well as helping them to learn to put down the cup properly. The Doidy cup is an ideal aid to weaning as the natural mouth action used is the same as in breast feeding. In addition, dental professionals suggest that training children to drink from a cup as soon as possible can cut down on the long-term dental problems associated with prolonged use of bottles.

Babies as young as 6 months will find the two-handled Doidy cup easy to hold and use, but with Mum's help the cup can be used from birth. Dishwasher (top shelf) and microwave safe (although microwaving liquids can result in 'hot spots' and microwaving is therefore not advised for children's drinks).

excellent5
I would definatly recommend these if you are having difficulties with a traditional beaker. When i tried to introduce a beaker my son did not drink from it - i tried several types, but he would often reach to drink from a glass someone was holding and would 'drink' if someone held it for him. we've had one for about 6 weeks now and i'm now ordering some more of these for grandmas- as he drink loads from it (although some always ends up down his front)and it'll save getting having to teach him to drink from a cup in the future!

Doidy cup has solved our problems5
When I was returning to work I needed a way my baby would drink my milk in my absence. After spending a huge amount on bottles (she would not take them) this cup was recommended. We brought two and my baby gets on really well with them, I would highly recommend this cup to anyone else in the same situation.

It works!5
My baby was 100% breastfed and refused a bottle and dummy at an early age. Now, at 9 months, I am trying to get her to drink water but she was confused by the bottles and cups where you would have to suck (quite hard on some of them) so she would just play with them.
With the doidy cup she can see the water and has quickly understood she is supposed to drink it.
I hold it for her so she doesn't spill any,she even washes her hands in it! The angled lip means I can see when the water is in the right place for her to sip.
There are no fancy bits for her to play with and get distracted by, it's just a cup with water in.
