We bought this laptop for our daughter(twin) who is 3 years old and likes Dora the Explorer .She loves it and plays a lot .I believe is a good investment but i will choose the Cinderella Laptop for better value of money and more fun ,our other twin doughtier has that and we have some fights between them as Cinderella is their both favorite ,i believe has got more interesting activity
We just boughted so i cant say you haw reliable is -But our girls love to play with them and is educational for their age now

Excellent laptop for children
We bought this laptop for my daughters 2nd birthday feb 2008, although she was not at that time into dora it was a bargain at the price we bought it so i couldnt resist getting it and if she was anything like my neice i knew it wouldnt be long until she was dora mad.
As a 2 year old she didnt really play with it a great deal at the start as she didnt understand what to do but when she reached 2.5 years she started to pay a real interest as she started to get the hang of using it, the toy is so brilliant and educational, we especially enjoyed the letter baloon popping game where my daughter had to find the letter which was displayed on the screen as it would say the letter after the baloon popped therefore learning my daughter what it looks like. She is 3 years old now and the dora laptop is still very much played with, i think it has helped her alot as she confidently says letters (she is excellent with numbers up to 12) and can say an object and then tell us what the letter begins with although the only thing i would have liked is if they used the fonic letters to as my daughter does use these alot.
Having the laptop has made our mind up what to get my 2 year old son for his birthday this coming october too but with a different theme! He has also paid an interest in the dora laptop too!
This is a must for any big dora fan!!

Excellent educational toy Dora Vtech Laptop
VTech Dora the Explorer Carnival Time Learning Laptop This is the best toy i've ever bought for my little girl, she spends hours on it getting special stars for each task she complete's. It has loads of educational games on it and play mode's the buttons are a great size for little fingers and the joy stick is very easy to manage. It's great for your little one's to learn about words, shapes, puzzles, counting and many more things to keep them happy and quiet. This is a must for any child even her dad plays on it and he thinks it's great.
