Excellent value and very user friendly.
I bought this camera for my 6 yr old's birthday. In 8 hours it has been dropped twice - once onto the pavement - and continues to function perfectly. The controls are simple and logical - all she needs to do is turn it on and press the button. She worked out for herself how to turn the flash on and off, how to delete photos and how to review them on the screen.

The camera is capable of taking up to 1000 photos so would be fine for a holiday, no need to worry about filling up a memory card.

Storing the photos on the computer was also straightforward.

Having a display screen makes it much easier for a young child to take a reasonable photo and so there is no disappointment or frustration when they are uploaded.

I'm not sure of the technical specifications but the quality of the photo when printed as an A6 picture was perfectly acceptable.

I am very pleased I bought this and my daughter is delighted. I can not recommend it too highly.

Great for a child
I think these are great for a child, I have bought one for a xmas present. Although the quality may not be as good, what can you expect for a childs camera?!
And for the review that the child couldn't reach the button - READ the minimum age = 4 yr old NOT 2 yr old, maybe in 2 years time he'll reach the button.

Rubbish!
We bought this phone for our 2 year old son because he loves playing with our daughter's pink vtech kiddiezoom. The only reason for not buying another kiddiezoom was because it had 50% off in another retailer. Don't bother! The battery cover screws ripped out of their sockets, it's generally cheaply made and the photo shoot button is in a really unnatural postion on the front of the camera. The poor little fella can't reach his little fingers around properly.

We've decided to get a refund and buy one of the blue kiddiezooms instead.
