Awful Quality - Really Disappointed. Read this before you buy.
We wanted to buy our little girl a camera for her fourth bithday as she is always picking up our digital and taking pictures and using our camera phone. I bought this one because I thought it would then take the knocks and rough handling and we wouldn't worry all the time about her dropping it etc. BUT, where I can't fault that part of the design, the rest of it is RUBBISH. The picture quality is SO poor you can hardly see what you have just taken. I thought maybe it was her so both myself and my husband tried and we both found the picture quality APPALLING. When my daughter takes a photo she always looks at it and was getting frustrated becuase the picture was so bad she couldn't see what she had taken. As soon as I could, I bought a cheap pink digital camera which was £10 cheaper than Little Tykes and she loves it. It might not withstand being dropped so well, but my daughter has been really really happy playing with it and taking pictures. If your child is similar and has the basic understanding of using a camera, I would highly recommend getting a normal digital to avoid the dismay and disappointment I felt that birthday morning.

Having purchased this camera for my daughter (aged 5) last christmas she was absolutely delighted at having her first camera when it was unwrapped. However, she quickly became really disheartned with it. Whilst it has all the buttons in the right place, you can neither see what you are taking a picture of or identify what it was after it is captured as the viewing screen is so blurred. I was appalled at how disfunctional this is as a camera and it should be reviewed under the trade descriptions act! My advice to anyone purchasing something of this nature is to try before you buy.

Agree with above, really bad picture quality
I'd have to agree with the first reviewer, that although this seems a great present, the picture quality is really poor and it takes a long time for the picture to be taken, which means that usually the children have moved the camera after taking a shot. The flash whites out the picture totally on any subject closer than a couple of metres away in many shots and even in good light, the pictures are really bad and my daughter who is four, gets really frustrated that she can't seem to capture anything but blurs -- even adults find it hard on this camera. Don't pay a lot of money for this!
