Inexpensive and practical in-ear headphone
Good sound, both listening and speaking, good sound for music as well, comfortable and excellent price. Some minor issues.
For some time I was looking for an in-ear headphone for my iPhone 3G. Most products on offer have a higher price tag that what I've paid for the phone!!! This week I bought and received this Logic3 Earphone. Having such a low price (compared with the Sennheiser MM50, not to mention the Etymotic HF2) I was afraid the product will be a cheap plastic generic headphone. I wan'ts looking for aural perfection either, just some comfortable earphone to listen to podcasts or videos while on the train or tube. Apple's headphones simply are not my type and I get tired after wearing it half an hour.
Positive:
Price
Not white!!
Comfortable, Used for over two hours and I didn't notice I was wearing it.
Stay firmly in place
Clear phone sound
Microphone works better than Apple's headphone. I called three friends and tested both Logic3 and Apple's microphones, and all told me Logic3 sound quality was far better.
Good for music, bass clearly defined. Excellent for spoken words.
It comes with an ear bud replacement
Clip for securing cable to clothes
Don't be fooled by the size of the ear piece. Most of it remains outside the ear canal, and I presume it helps to keep the piece in the ear, even if shake your head, while allowing the in-ear portion to be small.
Negative:
Lacks volume control (no difference with Apple supplied headphone)
Microphone/control larger that Apple's headphone (a trade off for better mic quality I guess)
I find more difficult to disconnect the plug from the iPhone, since the outer hard portion is smaller than Apple's headphone
As the negative points are relative, given the price and the mic quality, I give it 5 stars
PS: When I wrote the review I did not have the opportunity to test the headphones in a noisy environment. And now I have to report that street noise can be a problem when using this headphones. I understand these are not sound isolating headphones, however other in-ear headphones do a better job at blocking external noise. Nevertheless, I still believe that these headphone are good value.
Worth price
this is a great product for the price, as it works with my ipod touch as well. but wery uncomfortable it hurts after a while
cheap, but ultimately a waste of money
Unfortunately, I read the good reviews of this product and thought I was buying a good set of headphones. All I have actually done however, is make the next pair of headphones (that I have to buy immediately) about £8 more expensive than they should have been.
Awful, awful sound quality, paired with poor build quality.
Yes, they're cheap. For all too obvious reasons. An utter waste of money.
