Good for Fine motor skills
I bought this for my 2 year old daughter last year. She initially found it difficult to thread but after some persisting for a month she got the hang of it. She walks around the room after she has finished threading and pretends she is walking a caterpillar. She also writes her name now and copies sentences when asked. I have found that these cotton reels have really helps her.

Cotton Tops
I bought this as a "fun" present for our 2nd "Cotton" wedding anniversary. We will keep it for any children that visit to play with.
