Ideal for macro photography to make precise positioning movements to achieve the perfect framed shot, for QTVR and other precise copy/repro work, this plate has finger-tip control for ultra-fine positioning - but with a simple lock-release lever for fast set-up. Two plates can be interlocked at 90deg. for full lateral/forward/back movement (over 4.7 ). In extruded aluminium, the plate has 1/4 and 3/8 holes and screws for tripod and camera mounting.

Well made piece of kit
This is a well engineered product and an essential and precise way to ensure that your macro shots are perfectly in focus. Easy to set up to your camera and tripod and also simple to use. It doesn't take long to set up ready for those close up shots. If you are serious about getting well focused shots of insects and plants etc this really is a piece of kit you should thing about buying.

Manfrotto MA 454 Micro Positioning Plate
This is a typically well made Manfrotto item. It has a precise worm screw movement with the ability to fast slide and then adjust with accuracy and lock in position. The base is solid without any flex and the movement is extremely smooth. This is perfect for macro work. One thing to note is that there is no transverse movement, it is all on the one plane.
