Customer Reviews
Unreliable and lacking in important additional features
POSITIVES: Clear picture (when working)
long range feature useful
NEGATIVES: Unreliable as I had to return 2 different monitors which were both faulty
Did not work when away in a local hotel
Needs more features than just the video monitor capability (eg out of range indicator, sound light display, ability to see what volume level it is on etc)
One of the faulty monitors we had showed a green light (meaning it was working) but sometimes the sound did not work, or the screen would flicker and even a few times the screen was totally blank with no sound - we only realised there was a problem when we heard our baby crying directly from his room whereas the monitor was silent!
When it comes to spending this kind of money, you need a monitor that not only can view your child, but is reliable and also has additional features. The safety of your child should be a priority and I did not trust the monitor enough to replace it with another. We are now investigating other monitors.
Ncessity baby monitor
NScessity: Digital 1.8" LCD Wireless Camera Monitor
Bought this as its a new product and expected great things but the lcd screen is so tiny its pointless. Can only just make out my daughter in her bedroom so not really worth £149. Picture quality was good though and no interference which I believe some of these monitors suffer with.
Im taking it back and going for Binatone Digital Video Baby Monitor BM500 which has a bigger screen, lullably feature, two way talking all features the nscessity doesnt have!
Not great
I tried this monitor along with three other top brands. The picture quality was O.K., with it having good signal strength throughout my home and garden. However the screen is small and I found that the voice activation was not always reliable. You can buy extra cameras for this, which could be useful for other views or for use in another roomif you have more children; however I took this one back and purchased the new summer infant Best View camera, which doesn't have extra cameras but does pan, tilt and zoom to give a whole room picture or a close up of baby.
wouldn't really recommend this product as for the money it should be much better.
