Very good value

I wanted to learn the ukulele but didn't want to spend lots of money. This kit is perfect: the ukulele is really good quality for the price, with a clean tone and a tidy finish. I like the sparkle too - it's not overdone and Tinkerbell looking or anything, it just looks super shiny!

The DVD that comes with the ukulele is quite good, and will certainly get you started, but I have bought a book as well. Although the DVD helps you to understand what you're aiming for (and is definitely useful for tuning the ukulele in the first place), I prefer working with something I can read again and again if necessary. But I do like watching the DVD as well, to see what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing!

The Uke seems to be easy to learn and I'm enjoying it a lot. Very easy to hold and play, and very satisfying. I would recommend this kit for adults and children alike, and reckon it's excellent value for money.
