Calling all Dance/Trance fans!
I've been a great fan of dance music especially trance for many years and already have countless compilation/mix albums,but this one does stand out from the crowd for me! Dave Pearce has always been one of my favorite trance DJ's and consistantly releases very good CD's but this is exceptionally good. There is a great variety of older classics such as Faithless, Robert Miles, Tomcraft to name a few. Some are mixes that are brand new to this album and are all mixed with Dave's usual flare.
CD 3 is certainly my favorite as he really trance's it up, if your not bouncing around the room waving glowsticks in the air by the end you really can't call yourself a trance fan!! I can't stop playing it, at home and on my i-pod, its excellent! 10/10! Well done Dave Pearce!

Here we go again, just when you thought there couldn't possibly be any more, another 'Trance Anthems' album from Dave Pearce is rolled out onto the shelves.

Well unsurprisingly, there's nothing new here really. The first two discs are filled with the usual array of classics we've seen on Gatecrasher and Euphoria compilations many times before, though even some of these may raise an eyebrow about their 'classic' status.

Disc 3 does deliver a few decent modern numbers from the likes of Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn and Above & Beyond, but even this is let down by the mediocre mixing; boring, tedious, flairless, very much sounds computer mixed (I'd actually be surprised if it isn't).

So there we have it, picking up from where Trance Anthems '08 left off and taking another step in the wrong direction. Rescued slightly by a fairly decent track line-up on the third disc, but even 2 stars is being generous here. For the serious trance fans looking for the best modern trance compilations, avoid this commercial rubbish and try 'Anjunabeats Volume 6', 'A State of Trance 2008' and/or 'In Search of Sunrise 7' (though you probably knew that already...).
