Pressing it halfwaty activates the auto focus and sets the shutter speed and aperture settings 2.0 Pressing it completely takes the pictures. 3.0 For long exposure or continuous shooting, press the release button completely and slide it in the direction of the arrow. Brilliant!!!
It does exactly what it says it will, half press for focus and full to take the picture, it can also be locked for long exposures.
The price is fantastic and the delivery was fast too.

Great Value But Quite Short
As the other reviews make clear this is a good quality product but I couldn't find any metion of how long the lead actually is. Having now bought one I can confirm that it's about 0.9m long so fine for long exposure shots but not so good if you want to do self portraits!

A Must Have
The Remote Control does exactly what the Sony one does, at more than half the price. And the shutter can be locked in place for Bulb exposures and continuous shots. Must have for all photographers
